The words "Stolen Property" are engraved with the Owner ID and return instructions on the tamperproof metal plate.
Destruction, alteration or obliteration of an identification label itself is a crime in most states and countries. I found an item and returned it to the owner. They didn't send me the reward they promised.
Unfortunately, we cannot protect against this happening. However, it is a violation of our terms of service. Our policy is that if an owner of an item fails to deliver the promised reward upon return of an item, that owner will lose all registration rights for all ArmorTag™ protected products, and be unable to utilize our service from that point forward. Please make sure you notify us if this happens to you. We will attempt to resolve the matter first, if that fails, registration rights for the owner will be revoked.
